Duration: 3 years (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2028) This project is funded by the Government of Canada. The project has two specific components: National Placement Test: BTC-NCLC CCLB will create new BTC-NCLC forms for use in person and Proctor-less Remote, provide training for assessors on the new forms and provide additional resources for their ongoing professional development. National Online CLIC Curriculum CCLB will continue the development of the National Online CLIC Curriculum and curriculum guidelines. This will consist of creating, adapting, and/or updating themes and modules, incorporating ELBP principles, and respecting the guidelines of the national CLIC curriculum.
Portfolio Based Language Assessment and L’Évaluation linguistique basée sur le portfolio Resources to Support Evolving Trends (PBLA/ELBP) Duration: 3 years (April 1, 2025 – March 31, 2028) This project is funded by the Government of Canada. This project will support instructors and administrators delivering language training for newcomers to Canada. CCLB will provide professional development courses, workshop sessions, guidelines, training, tools/resources and assessments, and classroom materials to further develop and support the use of PBLA/ELBP and its new Language for Success (LFS) framework/Cadre Langue pour réussir (LPR), which shows the relationship between CLB/NCLC and Skills for Success in LINC/CLIC classrooms
